Community Roundtable

Student Life’s Off-Campus and Commuter Student Services will be hosting the Spring Community Roundtable on January 23 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Ohio Union Interfaith and Prayer Room. Registered property owners and vendors along with other community members will have the opportunity to engage and network with experts. The Spring Community Roundtable will feature discussions with experts in financial wellness for students and property owners, as well as an information session facilitated by the Franklin County Auditor’s Office about the triennial property update coming in 2020. Off-Campus Housing Excellence Program

Home Energy Efficiency Program

Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission offers free energy efficiency and safety services in Franklin County to income-eligible residents to help keep them warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, all while lowering energy bills.

Meet Amber

Amber is the Community Ambassador for Woodruff Ave. and E. 19th Ave. When asked about her experience, she said, “being a Community Ambassador has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and build relationships with fellow students. I also enjoy being a part of a campaign that allows me to promote safety among my community.”

New Food Blog

OCCSS’ sustainability campaign has launched “Reduce. Reuse. Recipe.”, a new food blog for students. The blog will focus on sustainability and low waste recipes.

Off-Campus Living Expo

There will not be a spring Off-Campus Living Expo in 2020. The Off-Campus and Commuter Student Services team is working on revamping this spring semester event to ensure increased success in future years. The next Off-Campus Living Expo will be held Friday, October 23, 2020.
