Student organization leaders, members and advisors can take advantage of a variety of required and optional programs throughout the year. These programs are designed to develop individual leadership skills, build effective teams, engage in the community and navigate university processes and policies. Use the links below for additional information and/or to register for any of these programs.

The Student Involvement Fair (SIF) is a great place to find a student organization that meets your needs and interests as well as for student organizations to connect with other orgs, find members, and spread the word about their organization. There are two annual Student Involvement Fairs. One takes place during Welcome Week in August and the other takes place at the start of Spring Semester.

Advisor Breakfast
Fall 2024 - Date to be announced
Held annually in early to mid Autumn Semester, this informal event is an opportunity to connect with fellow advisors, your student org team, and enjoy hot breakfast. Advisors are welcome to invite up to 2 student leaders to join you for conversation and connection.
Student Org Resource Night

Open House in the KBK Center
Fall 2024- Date to be announced
The KBK Open House is an annual opportunity for individuals, student organizations, and Ohio State community members to get to know the resources and opportunities available to student organizations on campus. Within the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service, located on the second and third floor of the Ohio Union, join the Student Org team and KBK tenants for free food, networking, resource sharing, and a brief program. This event is hosted as a part of Leadership Week. No registration is required for this event. Contact Cassie Smith at smith.10128@osu.edu with questions.
Student Org Essentials Workshop Series
Student Org Essentials unites student leaders and campus experts to talk through a variety of exciting and important topics relevant to today’s student organization at Ohio State. All organization members are invited. Fall 2024 workshops will be announced prior to the start of Autumn Semester! Reading Day in the KBK: Coffee and Coloring

All students are welcome to stop by the KBK Center for Student Leadership and Service on Reading Day each semester for Coffee and Coloring. Take time at the end of each semester to relax with fellow student org members and friends. The event is hosted on Reading Day, December 5, 2024, time TBD. Are you looking to plan a program with your student organization and are overwhelmed or not sure where to start? Have you started planning an event and want to learn more about resources that are available to help? Join Student Activities on Wednesday, February 28 from 5 - 6 p.m. EST in-person in the Ohio Union to walk through the process of planning a program and essential steps in this process. We will explore different resources available to you to help you plan a succesful program, and you will leave this session confident in your ability to plan a program. Snacks and refreshments will be provided!

Join your fellow student organization leaders for an evening of networking, collaboration, and new ideas shared over dinner. This banquet-style event brings nearly 200 student leaders together from across the student organization community to learn from each other’s experiences, form organizational partnerships, strategize the use of campus resources, and develop plans for the coming school year. Use this time to make progress on your goals and source creative ideas to bring to your organization’s operations. Attire is business casual and a full dinner will be served. Leadership Awards Ceremony

The Student Life Leadership Awards is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates members of the Ohio State community who demonstrate exceptional skills in leadership, activism, community engagement, and Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience. Over more than 60 years, The Ohio State University has recognized hundreds of students, advisors and organizations who demonstrate leadership skills, collaboration, and a commitment to the Ohio State community. The Ohio State Leadership Awards are sponsored by the Office of Student Life.
