Ohio State Orthopedic Urgent Care provides weekday walk-in urgent care for sports- and activity-related injuries that have occurred within the last two weeks. Our advanced level of care is led by orthopedic and sports medicine physicians, and all providers are skilled in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries to bones, joints, ligaments, fascia, tendons and muscles.

Visits are billed at a specialist rate, which is higher than an urgent care rate, but less than an emergency department visit. A traditional urgent care copay does not apply to this advanced level of urgent care. A deductible or coinsurance may apply.

Orthopedic Urgent Care treats patients 14 years and older.

Sports-related injuries we treat

  • Sprains, strains and injuries from activities or sports, including sudden worsening of joint pain, tendon rupture and locked knee
  • Suspected broken bones or dislocations

Diagnostic tools and treatments

  • Casting and splints
  • Urgent X-rays

Walk in or make an appointment Monday-Friday. No appointment is necessary, but please register on the first floor before proceeding to the clinic on the second floor.

Please note: A set number of appointments are available daily. Once all appointments have been filled for the day, our staff may refer you to an alternate location or schedule you with a provider for another day.

If urgent care is needed for sports- or activity-related injuries in the evenings or on weekends when Ohio State Orthopedic Urgent Care isn’t open, and you’re in close proximity to any of our Advanced Urgent Care locations, we can provide the same high level of orthopedic urgent care and diagnostics, including X-rays.

For chronic pain or injuries, please call 614-293-3600 to schedule an appointment.

The Orthopedic Urgent Care providers cannot treat chronic orthopedic conditions, life-threatening symptoms, behavioral issues, prenatal problems, complex health conditions or anyone under 14 years of age. You will be referred to another provider or facility should you need care for these conditions or symptoms.

Cost and insurance

Orthopedic Urgent Care visits are billed at a specialist rate, which is higher than an urgent care rate, but less than an emergency department visit. A traditional urgent care copay does not apply to this advanced level of urgent care.

We accept most insurances. At the time of your visit, a specialist copay will be collected, and a deductible and coinsurance may be applicable if testing is required.
